1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Group Extractor for Facebook browser extension, the website at fbgroupextractor.echobot.dev, and related account and subscription services operated by echobot.dev (together, the “Service”).

By installing, accessing, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms and meet the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. You must provide accurate account information and keep access to your email, Google account, browser profile, and device secure.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account or subscription has been used without authorization.

3. Description of the Service

Group Extractor is a browser extension that helps users collect Facebook Group member data and export organized records as CSV, Excel (XLSX), or JSON. Features may include Group selection, People-page navigation, configurable fields, automatic deduplication, request pacing, batch rests, pause and resume, and Free or Pro access levels.

Available records and fields depend on what Facebook returns for the selected Group. The Service does not grant access to private Groups, profiles, or fields that you are not otherwise authorized to view.

4. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use the Service for lawful personal or internal business purposes. The Service is licensed, not sold.

Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, bypass access controls for, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or protected configuration from the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and only with information you are authorized to access. You must not use the Service to:

• Violate Facebook terms, Group rules, contractual obligations, or any applicable law or regulation;
• Access private information, restricted Groups, or accounts without authorization;
• Collect information through deception, stolen credentials, or circumvention of privacy and security controls;
• Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, phishing, scams, or other abusive communications;
• Harass, stalk, threaten, exploit, or harm any individual or community;
• Perform unlawful profiling, surveillance, discrimination, credit or employment decisions, or decisions producing similarly significant effects;
• Sell, publish, or disclose personal data without a valid legal basis, permission, and appropriate safeguards;
• Introduce malware, overload systems, interfere with the Service, or attempt to defeat request pacing, limits, authentication, billing, or security controls;
• Misrepresent affiliation with another person, organization, Facebook, Meta, or echobot.dev;
• Use the Service in any way that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.

6. Your responsibilities for exported data

You control the collection task, selected fields, downloaded files, and all subsequent use of exported information. You are solely responsible for:

• Determining whether you have permission and a lawful basis to collect, store, combine, contact, share, or otherwise use member information;
• Providing notices and obtaining consent where required;
• Applying appropriate access controls, retention periods, security, and deletion procedures to downloaded files;
• Responding to applicable data-subject requests and honoring Group or organizational policies;
• Verifying accuracy before relying on any exported record.

Facebook data can be incomplete, stale, duplicated, localized, or changed by a member or Facebook. Do not treat exported data as independently verified.

7. Facebook and third-party services

You must comply with Facebook’s terms and policies when using the Service. Group Extractor is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc. Facebook is a trademark of its respective owner.

The Service also depends on third parties such as browser vendors, the Chrome Web Store, Google sign-in, Paddle, hosting providers, and content delivery networks. Their terms and policies govern your direct relationship with them. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, outages, decisions, or changes.

8. Free and Pro features

The Free plan currently supports up to 50 collected and exported members per task. Pro removes that extension-side limit and may include priority support. The current limits and features displayed in the extension control if they differ from this summary.

“Unlimited” means that the extension does not impose its Free member limit. It does not guarantee that Facebook will return every member or any particular number of records. Facebook access, rate limits, permissions, availability, Group structure, and interface changes still apply.

9. Subscriptions, payment, and cancellation

Paid subscriptions are offered at the price, currency, billing interval, and taxes shown during checkout. Paddle processes checkout and billing. By purchasing a recurring plan, you authorize recurring charges until cancellation.

• Subscription fees are generally charged in advance for the selected billing period;
• You can manage billing or cancel through available controls in the extension or the billing provider;
• Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless the checkout terms or applicable law state otherwise;
• Refunds are handled according to the checkout terms, Paddle policies, and mandatory consumer law;
• Taxes, exchange rates, and provider fees may apply depending on your location and payment method.

We may change future pricing or plan features. Where required, we will provide notice before a price change affects an existing recurring subscription.

10. Updates and service changes

Facebook and browser interfaces change frequently. We may update, add, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including compatibility, fields, limits, and paid features. Updates may be required for continued use.

We do not guarantee that the Service will work with every Group, account, browser version, Facebook experiment, language, region, or interface state.

11. Support

We may provide documentation, email support, and priority support for eligible Pro users. Response times are not guaranteed unless a separate written service-level agreement expressly applies.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, interface, design, text, configuration, trademarks, and other original materials, is owned by echobot.dev or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

You retain rights in files you create using the Service, subject to any rights held by the people, platforms, or organizations connected to the underlying information.

13. Feedback

If you provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use and incorporate that feedback without restriction or compensation, while we continue to handle any personal information according to our Privacy Policy.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, engaged in fraud or abuse, failed to pay applicable fees, or if continued operation is no longer commercially or technically practical.

Upon termination, the license granted under these Terms ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions—will survive.

15. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” We disclaim all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We do not warrant that Facebook will continue to expose any page, request, field, or member record; that exports will be complete or accurate; that the Service will avoid account restrictions; or that using exported data will comply with the laws and obligations applicable to you.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, echobot.dev and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, access, or business opportunities arising from or related to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $25. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limits, so those provisions apply only to the extent allowed.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless echobot.dev and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your exported data, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where echobot.dev operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security, or business operations. The “Last updated” date identifies the latest revision. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

20. General terms

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the Service. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement about the Service unless a separate written agreement expressly applies.
